Selling our gorgeous 1 owner 2021 Grand Design Solitude S-Class 3550BH Bunk House 5th wheel. We ordered this unit brand new in Fall of 2020 and took delivery December 2020 in Indiana. This rig has been loved by our family for 5 years but now we are looking to downsize.
This trailer is in excellent condition and it was thoroughly scrubbed after each use. All 3 mattress’ have been upgraded, and a drinking water filter added under the sink. The interior shows some minor wear for its age but is very clean. Every light and system works as it should. All windows have blackout roller shades that work perfectly. The rear trailer hitch has been upgraded with a custom built 10,000lb hitch to easily carry a dirtbike or large bicycle rack. There is TONS of exterior storage too. The Outside kitchen has a small fridge and gas hookup. (the original griddle has been removed). This unit is ready for Full Time use with washer/dryer prep too.
We optioned and upgraded this trailer to be fully equipped for boondocking. Unlike most 5th wheel travel trailers, this one is equipped with an Onan 5500 generator, upgraded 40lb propane tanks, 300 watt solar panel, 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter, 2-100ah Lithium Batteries, 4 stage smart battery charger and a Starlink system (included in sale). The entire trailer has LED lights as well to keep consumption down. Grand Design trailers are extremely well built and well insulated with enclosed and heated underbellies, heated storage bays and 12 volt tank heaters. We have camped comfortably at 0°F up to 115°F.
This unit is equipped with the Compass Connect Bluetooth app allowing you to operate the levelling jacks, slides, awnings and lights all from your phone. In addition, we have added a Level Mate Pro to allow us to check level from our phones while still in the truck, and a Hughes Watchdog Surge protector hardwired into the electrical system.
We have maintained this rig with an open checkbook, including new tires (7/25), all new brake assemblies (7/25), bearing inspection and repack (7/25), annual roof re-sealing, annual waxing, and regular washes. It has always been stored at our home connected to power.
