This True One Owner frame off restoration done by Rhino Linings 4 Yuma was featured center stage at the Rhino Linings Booth in the 2025 Las Vegas SEMA Show, where it turned heads and brought in all the attention!
I stripped this Bronco down to literally nothing and I’ve got all the pics to prove every step of the way.
after stripping it down I sand blasted every panel, the body, the frame, subframe and everything I believed was worth refurbishing. Off Road Buggy Supply in Yuma Arizona beautifully powder coated the frame, suspensions components, leaf springs, axles and every other part I used for the rebuild.
I took the motor down to the block, had the block honed, polished, ported, balanced the crankshaft, installed a mildly bigger cam, all brand new internals, pistons, lifters, rockers, rings, rods, rod bearings etc, all brand new! Bought new Edelbrock polished carburetor, brand new polished intake, new polished water pump, polished alternator, everything is brand new.
I painted the block Hot Rod Black, sand blasted and painted the valve covers and the oil pan to match the exterior unique original paint color.
I rebuilt the original C4 transmission and transfer case with all the new internals, gaskets, gears and restored it to its originality.
I had it towed to Robert at Yuma Driveline where he installed and balanced a brand new driveline for me. Then I towed it to Economy Muffler and installed a stainless steel dual pipe custom exhaust system.
I then sand blasted the body upside down and inside out. After this cleaned all the metal and primed to get it ready to Rotisserie. This Bronco Cab was Rotisserie Rhino Liningec in the underside, tub, firewall engine bay and completely encapsulated except for the exterior paint.
After this I had to prep the body, fenders, windshield, windshield frames etc for paint. After weeks of prep we were able to borrow a paint booth from Yuma Auto Rebuilders to paint the vehicle but only on weekends so it took us a few weekends to get it all done.
Working from Friday after 4 Till Monday at 7am for 3 weeks straight before she was ready for paint.
we have spent over $120,000.00 in parts, accessories, we have over 2300 man hours in labor and we have every single receipt to prove it.
It would cost $420k-$500k to build one to this caliber and you still wouldn’t have a one owner with all matching numbers!
Best part is you get to meet Cheryl, the original owner who purchased her in 1976 off the showroom floor in San Diego California at Center City Ford which is now Kearny Mesa FORD 7303 Clairmont Mesa Blvd SAN DIEGO CA. 92111 just before she moved to Yuma AZ!
