The cummins ISX 2006-2o1o is known for a heat/valve quality issue in the Original OEM head. A current TSB exists for the issue, I knew this when I bought the coach and thus put an extended warranty on the motor knowing full well it was coming.. I experienced a dropped exhaust valve which subsequently wiped out the number 6 cylinder and Turbo etc. The extended warranty covered a complete overhaul with all Cummins OEM parts including all bearings pistons 1-6/liners/scrapers as well as the updated Cummins bulletproof head with Inconel valves.
After the new motor I opted through a cummins engineer to safely detune the engine to 550HP as I wanted a true 1 million mile motor for this coach. All sensors were replaced and a true engineer @ cummins safely downloaded all current Cummins Cal files and went through each parameter and set accordingly. All Cal files will be with coach at time of sale.
I have had the chance to work every single bug out for the better half of 4 years. From Slides, to engine, to batteries and electronics. Ive gone through it, know it all. Have every book and schematic you can dream of.
This thing is bulletproof and ready for thousands of miles of trouble free ownership.
Im upgrading to a 30K Showhauler or Renegade as I need to haul 3 cars back and forth and want something that is rated for 30K.
